Dermal Fillers                      (Restylane, Radiance, Zyplast, Zyderm) 

This eight hour workshop will discuss the proper application of dermal fillers in the aesthetic practice. A major focus of the course will be Restylane, the most popular and FDA approved dermal filler on the market, but we will also touch on other fillers such as Radiance, Zyplast, Zyderm I/II, and Hylaform. 

A thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology  of the face are required to properly employ dermal fillers  and the instructors will review these critical areas with the students. 

Safety considerations and efficacy for dermal fillers, proper  injection techniques, understanding potential risk factors and contraindications will be reviewed as part of this workshop. The instructors will differentiate between hyaluronic acid  based and human collagen based fillers and the considerations for each.   

Hands-on sessions will include facial mapping procedures on mannequins for proper injection technique and practice  administration.  Students then demonstrate proper injections technique on each other.   

A review of applicable laws, recommended insurance, marketing &  suppliers pertaining to the success of the dermal filler practice will close out the workshop.
